Recently i posted about ‘8 Great Ways To Come Up With A Start-Up Idea.’ On that post i mentioned a few examples on how nature can inspire to come up with a business idea or even improve an already exisiting idea or product.
I came across a Ted video talk by George Monbiot an an environmental activist, where he tells a fascinating story about what happened when wolves were reintroduced into Yellowstone National Park in 1995, almost 70 years after they had vanished from that area. With the absence of wolves, the population of elks grew and other animals (herbivores) exploded and the entire ecosystem of the wilderness was completely changed.

However, something interesting happened when the wolves came back! Native flora was re-established and was able re-grow. This meant an increase in biodiversity and the ability to provide food and shelter to a growing variety of plants and animals. (The Guardian provides full details on this story)
Something to think about when making those management decisions or solving business problems! Nature is indeed one of the best sources of Inspiration.
