Facebook Inc, has introduced its latest social good product. The company has launched a new fundraising tool to help non-profits to raise funds for their cause. It has also improved the donate buttons which does not only aim to help non-profitable organisation reach new users, but also allows people to donate to charities without leaving Facebook.


In 2013, Facebook first tested the various ways nonprofits could use to raise funds on Facebook. The company is known to have partnered with organizations to create donation campaigns after major natural disasters and is currently partnering with about 37 partner organizations.( See Example)

Also according to Mashable, Facebook is not currently charging its partners for using the tools but might implement a fee that covers operating costs at some point in 2016. Facebook currenting is focusing on U.S.-based 501(c)3 organizations, but plans to expand internationally next year. The company is also encouraging interested organisation to find out more information on their donations site.
